Job Summary:

The Business Analyst provides three fundamental roles:

 

Performance Monitoring

• Build, maintain, and analyze data tools for market forecasts, win rates, pricing and costing performance, various operational and financial KPI’s.
• Capture, analyze and report insights to aid the business in developing innovative solutions for operational and strategic initiatives.

 

Business Process Evaluation

• Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements that leverage new technologies or innovative methodologies.

 

Documentation and Reporting

• Create detailed documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.

 

This is a highly dynamic business data analyst role and will report to the Business Operations Process Leader. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and identify business and market trends and present insights to the Sales Ops, Sourcing, and Commercial teams.
• Perform data analysis on backlog, bookings, sales, costs, and margin to meet the needs of the business and provide input for business demand and supply forecasts and inventory management.
• Maintain the data integrity of our internal data management systems by performing data mining, data mapping, data cleanup/integrity audits and reconstruction of 3rd party provided data to fit the data integration requirements.
• Perform price analyses for commercial quotes across diverse business programs and geographies and coordinate cross-function efforts for pricing conditions and thresholds.
• Work closely with Commercial and global teams to capture and perform in-depth analysis on market intelligence, market share, win-rate analysis to provide guidance for an overall pricing and inventory strategy.
• Maintain and update key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal reviews as well as external customer meetings.
• Create dashboards for KPIs via Power BI or equivalent data visualization tool.
• Collaborate with Business Operations Leader to develop data-driven tools to improve internal, global processes and gain insights to deliver faster TATs and greater precision for commercial and operational teams.
• Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

• 4-year degree and/or 3+ years’ experience in a related field with strong emphasis on data analysis
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, experience with PowerBI
• Experience with data integrations, APIs, SQL knowledge preferred
• Epicor ERP, SAP ERP, Salesforce, VBA or Python experience a plus
• Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects to committed deadlines
