We are looking to hire our next Lead Data Scientist to drive actionable insights and shape our commercial strategy with applied data science. In this pivotal role, you will own end-to-end projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-impact solutions that enable faster and better decisions through clear storylines and robust analytics.

You can either be based in Billund, Denmark or London, United Kingdom. Please note there is no relocation support for this position.

Come join us!

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end applied data science projects — from framing business problems and building models to delivering actionable insights that shape strategic decisions.

  • Uncover commercial opportunities and risks by applying expert-level machine learning, statistical modelling, and advanced data wrangling techniques.

  • Craft compelling data visualisations and performance narratives that influence senior stakeholders and accelerate data-driven decision-making across global markets.

  • Own and elevate key business processes, delivering a clear, consistent, and relevant narrative on business performance throughout the year through impactful post-event analyses and global performance reviews.

  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to track and analyse commercial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making at pace.

  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Portfolio teams to apply data science solutions that shape strategy, optimise campaigns, and inform product development.

  • Champion a collaborative, high-performing analytics culture by coaching junior data scientists and promoting the adoption of cutting-edge techniques and technologies.

  • Demonstrable experience applying data science and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.

  • Expert proficiency in SQL, Python and/or R (including data science libraries and tools), and version control tools like GitHub.

  • Expertise in data wrangling, modelling, data visualisation, and building end-to-end data science solutions.

  • Experience or familiarity with Databricks, Agile Framework, Asset Bundles, MLOps Stacks, GitHub actions and Generative AI is a plus.

  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, manage projects from start to finish, and deliver high-quality results at pace.

  • Strong communication skills to convey complex methods and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a compelling way.

  • Experience building stakeholder relationships, earning trust, and delivering data science solutions that directly address business needs.

  • Prior experience in commercial analytics, consumer goods, or a retail business context is a plus.
