About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant - Consumer Lending Global Operations Data Analytic and Reporting (DAR).


In this role, you will:

  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables by utilizing data-driven, analytical and statistical techniques to make actionable insights, trends, recommendations, or contribute to large-scale planning that has a broader impact

  • Interpret and analyze data, using advanced analytics methods and programming, to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies

  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data

  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews

  • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 1+ year of Python experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on programming using SQL

  • 2+ years of SAS experience

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Quantitative & Statistical Expertise: Strong knowledge of quantitative analysis, statistical methods, data mining, and data visualization techniques.

  • Data Visualization Tools: Proficient in using tools like Tableau or Power BI to create dashboards and visual reports.

  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Skilled at breaking down complex issues, identifying root causes, and proposing actionable solutions.

  • LLM & Prompt Engineering: Experience with Large Language Models and prompt engineering is preferred.

  • Banking Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking products, services, and industry practices.

  • ​Effective Communication: Able to clearly articulate complex ideas, write concise reports, and lead meetings and workshops.

  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work well in teams, build strong relationships, and foster consensus.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand needs and share insights.

  • Presentation Skills: Present analysis, recommendations, and updates in clear, compelling formats tailored to various audiences.

  • Financial Services Experience: Over 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.

  • ML & NLP Expertise: Solid background in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques.

  • Consultative Analytics: Ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
