Thermal and Fluid Management product lines are led from the Marston facility, which is based in Wolverhampton, as part of the Collins Aerospace Power and Controls Strategic Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

Development and Maintenance of Teamcenter PLM Tool: 

  • Create and maintain workflows and other automated processes within the Teamcenter PLM tool to ensure efficient and effective operations. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Teamcenter PLM tool to support the engineering team’s needs. 

Driving Data Strategy for Engineering: 

  • Support the development and implementation of the data strategy for the Engineering function, focusing on leveraging emerging technologies in data science and machine learning. 
  • Work closely with the Engineering leadership team and other Collins resources to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement. 
  • Develop and deploy advanced data analytics and machine learning models to enhance the capability and efficiency of Engineering operations. 
  • Advocate for data-driven decision-making within the Engineering team and promote the adoption of new technologies and methodologies. 
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in data science to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of technological innovation. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Science, or a related field. 
  • Expertise in data science, including machine learning, data analytics, and data strategy development. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with Teamcenter PLM tool development and maintenance. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. 
  • Experience working in an aerospace or defence environment is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with data governance and data management best practices.
