In this role, you will primarily work as a data engineer with the strategy organization to support their data and analytics requirements. This role requires you to be the liaison between DT and the office of transformation to support data driven strategic planning, what if analysis and many other business priorities by developing and maintaining the data ecosystem from internal and external data sources. The support includes data engineering, data pipeline management, data access management as well as ad-hoc analysis support as needed. By doing so, you will ensure that the office of transformation’s analytics needs are met in a compliant manner along with helping that organization to effectively adapt new data access paths.

** This is a hybrid position based in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Candidates must be able to commute to the Santa Isabel office as required. **

What YOU will do:

  • Be a liaison between DT and the office of transformation for their data and analytics needs

  • Identify customers' data needs and opportunities through data analysis, interviews, and market data research.

  • Enable compliant customer data read access by making data available using database technologies such as snowflake and Postgres.

  • Develop and deploy various data pipelines to make key data easily accessible to the office of transformation using tools such as Alteryx and PowerAutomate.

  • Implement data visualization and reporting solutions using Tableau and PowerBI.

  • Deploy robust data management and data access solutions to be complaint with DT standards and company policies.

  • Participate in the Agile Scrum process to ensure product solutions are fulfilled.

  • Innovative problem solving to address complex data needs for the office of transformation organization.

  • Connects different needs from the office of transformation to create & enhance one cohesive data analytics strategy and implementation plan.

  • Understand various ad-hoc use-cases to identify common elements to drive overall automation and reduce ad-hoc data analysis needs.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with other team members and stakeholders including senior leadership as required.

  • Support the planning and the execution of product roadmaps, development schedules, and product/component designs, should be able to manage small projects on their own with on time delivery to the customer.

  • Works with Security/Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management Groups to manage and document the data analytics portfolio.

  • Participates in configuration management and releases engineering tasks to ensure new data product operating parameters are released & documented.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

  • Proficient in Snowflake and Postgres database - strong knowledge of database management systems, including data modeling and query authoring along with data warehousing principles

  • Expert in data transformation tools such as Alteryx and PowerAutomate.

  • Expert in data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.

  • Very good understanding of various data management elements such as data preparation, analysis, integration, visualization and automation along with how to create a sustainable scalable data analytics solution.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of aviation industry data sources such as AWIN/FlightAware.

  • SAP & Salesforce data understanding.

  • Programming in Python.

  • Previous experience in strategic analysis.
