What You'll Do
As the Head of SEO at Walmart, you will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive SEO strategy across Walmart's digital platforms. Your leadership will be pivotal in enhancing organic search visibility, driving customer acquisition, and contributing to the company's growth objectives. By collaborating with cross-functional teams (especially site merchandising), you will ensure that SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of Walmart's digital presence.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee Walmart's US SEO strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends. Also, partner with sister SEO teams across the company to help a cohesive growth strategy across locales and businesses.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of SEO business professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with SEO Product, SEO Engineering, site / marketing content, and other marketing teams to implement SEO best practices across all digital touchpoints.
• Performance Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to monitor SEO performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and report on key metrics to stakeholders.
• Technical SEO Oversight: Partner with SEO Product to ensure that website architecture, page speed, mobile optimization, and crawlability meet SEO standards.
• Content Optimization: Guide content strategy to align with SEO objectives, including keyword research and on-page optimization, especially from a seasonality perspective.
• Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry developments, algorithm updates, and emerging SEO trends to maintain Walmart's competitive edge, especially with a move to Generative AI engines and snippets.
Minimum Qualifications
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in SEO, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing SEO teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of Technical SEO, including site architecture, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Analytical Skills: Proficient in using SEO and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, SEOClarity, and Google Search Console.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
