Job Description

What you’ll do: 

  • Share expertise into design, implement and improve data models using best practices and fit for business requirements
  • Develop and support solutions that deliver the design and implementation of data modelling best practices including collaboration within the team, brainstorm and conclude conceptual, logical, and physical models
  • Collaborate and connect with stakeholders from across lines of business to elicit requirements and translate them to data design artifacts
  • Leading collaborations across data product disciplines to develop, optimise and maintain data pipelines and solutions
  • Engages actively in facilitating team-based problem-solving sessions and contribute to the development of best practices
  • Initiating and nurturing effective working relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on product analytics and commercial data solutions

Qualifications

What are we looking for? 

  • Proven ability to apply strong software engineering principles such as modularisation, abstraction, and testing to data infrastructure and tooling
  • Deep experience designing and building data ingestion pipelines and serving layers across cloud platforms and third-party data providers
  • Data engineering experience including expertise in data modelling, transformation, and optimisation, grounded in a solid analytical discipline
  • Hands-on experience architecting and integrating RESTful APIs and working within modern microservices architectures
  • Extensive experience in Python and have working knowledge of .NET, with experience managing high-volume pipelines on cloud-based data platforms
  • Skilled in designing and building software/pipelines using cloud services such as AWS EC2, Glue, Lambda, SNS, SQS, IAM, ECS or equivalent
