The Finance team at Jump is seeking a Real Estate Data Analyst to join its team! In this role, you will support the Senior Real Estate Data Analyst and the Business Insights & Process Team in managing the firm’s lease-related data and ensuring compliance with ASC Rule 842. With Jump’s global and dynamic lease portfolio, the position emphasizes leveraging real estate software to manage lease data effectively. You will streamline processes, enhance data integrity, and collaborate across departments to provide strategic insights into the firm’s real estate operations.   

This role is based out of our Chicago office with an expectation to work in the office a portion of each week.   

What You'll Do:    

Lease Administration   

  • Interpret lease language in consultation with the Legal team and business owners, abstract and translate information to summarize payment and other obligations within lease database in accordance with system requirements, established firm standards and ASC Rule 842 guidelines   
  • Support the setup of new leases, as well as updates for lease amendments, to appropriately account for all payment obligations included in the lease    
  • Maintain a system of tracking all necessary changes or adjustments associated with leases and their financial impact including lease renewal/cancelation notice dates, lease expiration dates, operating expense estimates, and other lease triggers    
  • Review and timely prepare for execution and distribution any lease commencement, renewal or termination notices to proper parties in compliance with lease language    
  • Contribute to monthly payment receivables and payables meetings and work with Finance to ensure rent payments and/or rental income is paid/collected in a timely fashion   
  • Serve as a liaison between Jump and Landlords or other third-party vendors, ensuring each party’s compliance with lease provisions and payment terms   

Data Management    

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s operational data, including the services the firm has contracted, their use within trading infrastructure and operations, internal data sources containing metadata about these services, and vendor billing details   
  • Identify and resolve differences between contracted expectations and vendor billing through internal reconciliations and conversations with either the business user or the vendor  
  • Maintain the integrity of the lease database through routine audits and validation against other internal systems that house in common data (e.g., Contract Management, ERP Software, Finance Subledgers, and Lease Accounting Software)   
  • Contribute to and drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline data management workflows, enhance accuracy, and improve efficiency across data systems and related processes.   

Skills You'll Need:   

  • Bachelors’ Degree   
  • At least 2 years of work experience in an analytical or business research related field such as Accounting, Finance, Economics   
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while keeping track of priorities and maintaining a big picture focus   
  • Proven data management capability and strong attention to detail   
  • Experience with Excel, SQL and data visualization software preferred   
  • A proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service   
  • Proactive thinker and strong team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision   
  • Strong written, oral and visual presentation skills   
  • Ability to work collaboratively and sustain relationships across teams and global offices   
  • Flexible, conscientious and easily adaptable to constant change   
  • Professional demeanor and ability to use discretion when working with confidential material   
  • Reliable and predictable availability

Annual Base Salary Range $85,000—$105,000 USD
