What We’re Looking For

Join our Data Platforms organization on the Data Engineering team.  We’re a horizontal team whose mission is to use our data to drive maximum value across the business we are today and the business we’ll be in the future. You’ll operate across a diverse range of technologies in every layer of our “data stack” to make that mission a reality.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver a world-class data platform, converging disparate sources into a singular analytics solution
  • Own and evolve the architecture of data models, pipelines, and platform components supporting business needs and future scalability
  • Plan and delegate complex projects with broad scope
  • Mentor and grow early career developers or engineers transitioning into Data Engineering from other domains
  • Facilitate technical discussions, guiding the team toward the most effective approaches to problem solving
  • Partner with BI Analysts and engage with internal stakeholders across the business to cultivate data products that align with current and future needs
  • Write performant, readable, reusable, and tested code
  • Review code to ensure a high standard of technical quality across our data codebases

What You Need to Succeed

  • 6+ years experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, ETL developer, or software engineer with deep data focus
  • 3+ years experience building and maintaining an enterprise-scale data lake and/or data warehouse
  • 2+ years experience building and maintaining data transformation projects in dbt
  • Expert in data modeling, version-controlled dbt development, automated testing, and CI/CD
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills to work with a variety of stakeholders
  • Mastery of ANSI SQL and data modeling best practices
  • Deep experience with modern cloud data warehousing and orchestration systems
  • Strong experience working with cloud based data infrastructure, primarily in AWS
  • Expertise in Python

What Helps You Stand Out

  • Direct experience with Snowflake, Apache Airflow, AWS, Terraform
  • Experience migrating to Snowflake from other data warehouses
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing modern data architectures, design patterns, and data management including medallion architecture, data lakehouse, and data mesh
  • Some experience with one or more BI Analytics tools, especially, Sigma and/or PowerBI
  • Effective use of AI assistive tooling and agents to optimize productivity and accuracy
  • Prior experience in Healthcare or another highly regulated industry like Finance

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:$160,000—$200,000 USD
