What you'll do...

Position: Data Scientist III

Number of Positions Available: Two (2)

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Build and enhance media mix models and multi touch attribution models to connect the impact of marketing tactics and business short-term and long-term outcomes. Run optimization and simulation scenarios to help provide the marketing investment and allocation recommendations to stakeholders. Perform hands-on modeling and complex analyses using SQL and Python. Design, measure, and partner with cross-functional teams on randomized control and store/DMA experiments. Explain complex modeling approaches in simple terms and develop compelling narratives that connect modeling results with business problems. Partner with cross-functional team to streamline data science solutions. Prototype and design analytic methods using econometric, supervised learning, and unsupervised learning approaches. Extract and conduct quality assurance for market research/marketing, economic and company data from different external and internal platforms. Collect technical requirements and build data processing systems for production purpose.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in an analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience building efficient data processing pipelines for analytical systems. Experience using hypothesis testing and statistical approaches to analyze complex experimental datasets. Experience implementing complex analytical systems in Python using Python libraries including Pandas, Numpy, and Scikit Learn, as well as experience in SQL, Spark, and R in a Cloud-based platform including AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience visualizing analytic results through Tableau, Excel, Python, and R. Experience converting model results to presentation slides via PowerPoint and Google Slides. Experience building statistical, econometric, or predictive models to solve business problems. Experience handling a large volume of structured or unstructured data. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $134,100/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
