Position: Senior Data Scientist
Job Location: 5404 Jandy Place, Los Angeles, CA 90066
Duties: Analyze the impact of clients’ marketing efforts and ad campaigns through various self-developed and industry-wide advertising and marketing measurements. Propose marketing media testing opportunities to clients with addressable impact in incrmental Sales Lift (iSL) and incremental Return on Ad Spend (iROAS). Design and execute A/B tests and corresponding measurement plans. Deliver testing learnings to clients via periodical campaign health analysis and final reports. Research, develop, maintain, and improve uplift audience targeting framework documentation and codebase. Design, test, carry out, and measure uplift testing campaigns on behalf of clients across segments. Perform regular Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and Machine Learning (ML) model exploration using SQL and Python. Participate in and contribute to year-round ad-hoc and R&D (Research and Development) project development and delivery. Manage communications and expectations of clients, stakeholders, internal teams, and external teams. Set up Market Mix Models (MMM) for business accounts. Deliver statistical and business insights to internal teams and clients in a timely manner. Design, validate, and implement causal inference frameworks.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required: Experience designing, executing, and measuring A/B tests in digital marketing. Experience with the following measurement methodologies: causal inferencing, time-series analysis, and bootstrapping techniques. Experience implementing, maintaining, and enhancing first party Market Mix Models (MMM) and uplift models. Experience researching, developing, and implementing machine learning models per project needs. Experience developing customized functions and pipelines in Python, including symmetric group sampling, difference -in-difference, and simulations. Experience extracting business insights from large databases and data lakes using SQL. Experience extracting and cross-validating past campaign information by interacting with first party reporting platforms, ad centers, and DSP. Experience creating and maintaining documentation of data flows and model pipelines. Experience designing, planning, executing, and evaluating marketing media tests. Experience presenting media test outcomes and analytical and business insights to stakeholders. Experience collaborating with cross-function teams to identify, address, and resolve data issues. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $108,000/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
