Role Description  

This muti-faceted role will suit candidates with a strong interest in unleashing the power of machine learning, and those who are familiar with data science who want to hone their skills on real life client challenges which manifestly impact client decision making. Please see our award winning NBD tool on our website as an example. 

As our Senior Data Scientist, you will lead decisions and be responsible for the technical specification, development and delivery of new data products that deliver transformational value for the business and our clients such as New Balance. Data products will be powered by machine learning algorithms to solve predictive forecasting or classification problems for our customers - It’s a fantastic opportunity to build on some award winning existing work and also build new products from scratch that will make a huge impact!  

You will be in control of architectural decisions, methodology and model selection and will work closely with our data engineers with regards to the agency’s data infrastructure systems built on the AWS stack. You will also be the go to data technologist for our clients providing recommendations and roadmapping solutions to solve problems with the application of ML or other such solutions. 

About You

  • Degree(s) or working experiences in data science fields
  • Data system development experience (e.g. interacting with APIs using Python or other languages; data manipulation with SQL)
  • Experience with common cloud based data analytics architecture (e.g. Databricks, AWS based  and/or Google Cloud Platform based)
  • Experience with popular libraries in R or Python for data analysis (e.g. for python, numpy, pandas, scikit learn)
  • Deployment: Docker, Lambda, amplify
  • Attention to detail and time management
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications end to end 
  • Knowledge of statistics - descriptive statistics, regression, probability, sampling, MCMC, hypothesis testing, econometrics techniques

Bonus Points

  • Experience in back-end development (support is available for front-end design and development)
  • Experience building application frameworks using Flask, Django, FastAPI
  • Knowledge of common marketing technology platforms (e.g. DoubleClick stack, AdWords, Facebook) as well as their reporting APIs and logs (e.g. data transfer files in DoubleClick stack)
