Experience & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least three (3) years of software engineering work experience

• Knowledgeable of industry trends and best practices, advising senior management on new and improved data engineering strategies that will drive departmental performance leading to improvement in overall improvement in data governance across the business.

• Ability to divide attention among several tasks and to prioritize tasks.
• Required to exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Required to kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl occasionally.

A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities

Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Data Engineer  with YesCare.  This is a remote position, US based. 

• Design, develop and deliver / implement data solutions to include: architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof of concept, development of standards, design and development of test plans, code and module design, development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques and development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Pyspark notebooks, Spark SQL, and Python. This includes data ingestion, data transformation, and data loading processes.
  • Implement ETL processes to extract data from diverse sources, transform it into suitable formats, and load it into the data warehouse or analytical systems.
  • Design, development, and implement Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Analytics Service (Azure Data Factory – ADF, Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and Databricks)
  • Optimize SQL queries
  • In addition, report writing in various technologies including but not limited to Power BI Reports and Dashboards, Paginated Reports, Pentaho, etc.
  • Monitor data pipelines to ensure they are functioning as designed.
• Manage day-to-day tasks and activities in coordination with a team of developers to effectively meet the deliverables and schedule of a data solution component within a larger application project.
• Lend support to various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions.
• Support and maintain data and database systems to meet business delivery specifications and needs.
• Prepare the infrastructure for analysis and design, build, and integrate data from various resources, managing big data.
• Lead the development and implementation of scripts for database maintenance, monitoring, and performance in collaboration with junior level DBAs and support groups. Perform testing and validation to ensure accuracy of data transformations and data verification used in any service
• Analyze complex data elements and systems, data flow, dependencies, and relationships in order to define data models
• Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures, such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Leads the development and implementation of scripts for database maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, and so forth – in collaboration with IT DBAs and support groups.
• Recommend and implement methods to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
