About the role

The Data Analyst III, Operations is a highly technical and strategic role responsible for bringing order, insight, and accountability to some of the most complex areas of our business — including fulfillment, vendor performance, clinical operations, and customer experience.

You’ll own the data, tooling, and reporting infrastructure that drive day-to-day operations and executive decision-making. This includes writing production-grade SQL, building scalable data models in dbt, maintaining high-visibility dashboards in Tableau, and delivering analyses that directly improves top-priority KPIs.

You’ll operate with a high degree of ownership, turning operational ambiguity into clearly defined metrics, reports, and processes. You’ll also play a key role in documenting and standardizing operational workflows through SOP development.

This role sits within the Data & Analytics team and partners closely with stakeholders across Operations, Clinical Operations, Product, and Engineering. We're looking for a highly skilled analyst with a strong operational background — someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, communicates clearly, and isn’t afraid to dive into the mess to find truth and deliver impact.

What you'll do

Data Analysis & SQL Development

  • Write and maintain advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, performance-optimized queries) to power dashboards and ad hoc analyses
  • Build and maintain reusable data models in dbt that support operational reporting across departments
  • Own the underlying data integrity for ops KPIs (e.g. patient turnaround time, SLA adherence, clinical quality)
  • Analyze trends in approval rates, decision speed, and clinical throughput to identify bottlenecks and support clinical team performance

Dashboarding & Data Access

  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards for daily, weekly, and monthly business reporting
  • Ensure data visualizations are reliable, scalable, and reflect the latest operational logic
  • Partner with end users to continuously improve dashboard usability and business relevance

Process Documentation & SOPs

  • Create clear, well-documented SOPs for data workflows, reporting processes, and stakeholder requests
  • Help standardize analytical outputs across operations to reduce ad hoc chaos and improve data quality
  • Contribute to building the foundational playbooks that guide how operations and analytics teams work together

Stakeholder Partnership & Strategy

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Medical, and CX leads to identify high-impact analytical projects
  • Present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Bring structure and clarity to complex problems through data storytelling and follow-up recommendations

Operational Support & Scale

  • Act as the analytics lead for a high-growth, high-change part of the business
  • Identify and build the missing data infrastructure that makes downstream reporting easier
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve turnaround time, reduce friction, support growth, and flag at-risk processes

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or operations analytics, ideally in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency — confident writing complex, performant queries using CTEs, window functions, and advanced logic
  • Production experience with dbt — built and maintained models, proficient in version control (Git), branching strategies, and deployment best practices
  • Advanced Tableau skills — design and build scalable, well-structured dashboards with drill-downs, filters, and alerts, accounting for performance considerations
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining SOPs or structured analytical documentation
  • Strong business intuition and problem-solving ability — naturally ask "why" and "how"
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — comfortable identifying broken processes and proposing scalable fixes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, or workflow support
  • Familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., Azure, dbt, Python, Git, Airflow)
  • Background working in e-commerce and/or telehealth industries
