AI Agent Developer / Senior AI Engineer

Location: Bratislava (Aupark Tower) – hybrid model (2–3 days/week in the office)
Team: AT&T Business International
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET, full-time

About the Role

Are you a seasoned AI practitioner or a rising star passionate about building intelligent, autonomous AI agents? Join our team to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge multi-agent systems and AI infrastructure that solve complex, real-world problems at scale. You will lead projects involving agent architectures, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI-driven automation within a global, dynamic organization.

This role offers the unique opportunity to work hands-on with state-of-the-art AI frameworks, cloud-native technologies, and real-world AI applications including invoice verification and automation projects.

🎯 What You’ll Work On

• Agent Architecture & Autonomy:
  Build and refine intelligent agents capable of perception, planning, and autonomous action. Design multi-agent coordination, task decomposition, memory, and decision loops.
• Generative AI & RAG Pipelines:
  Develop and optimize LLM-based systems for generation, retrieval, prompt tuning, and feedback monitoring.
• Data & Agent Infrastructure:
  Create and maintain data pipelines, vector stores, embedding layers, analytics, and monitoring systems to support agent operations.
• Tool & Framework Integration:
  Utilize AI frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex. Employ vector databases (e.g., Milvus), prompt engines, and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Deploy solutions on cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• API / Microservice Development:
  Build APIs or embed agent capabilities into web, chat, or enterprise platforms to expose AI functionalities.
• Performance, Safety & Monitoring:
  Track KPIs, improve agent reliability, implement safety guardrails, and maintain production stability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Partner with product owners, data scientists, software engineers, and UX teams to define features, evaluate outcomes, and prioritize agent capabilities.
• AI-Driven Business Automation:
  Support projects such as invoice verification by designing AI/ML solutions for automated reading, content extraction, and validation using OCR and NLP technologies.

✅ Must-have Skills & Background

• Strong programming expertise in Python, with clean object-oriented design, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines. Additional skills in Java, C++, or JavaScript are a plus.
• Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
• Experience in designing, training, and deploying neural networks and other ML/DL models.
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI) is highly desirable but not mandatory. Candidates with strong ML/DL skills and neural network expertise can quickly acquire proficiency in these frameworks.
• Proficiency with LLMs, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
• Familiarity with vector databases and embedding workflows.
• Experience deploying cloud-native AI solutions using AWS, GCP, or Azure, including containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Solid background in data engineering: building pipelines, ETL, data preprocessing, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of OCR and NLP tools for document processing (e.g., Tesseract, Azure Cognitive Services, Hugging Face models).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, system design acumen, and effective communication.

🎓 Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or related fields.
• Experience designing and releasing multi-agent systems in production.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning pipelines and simulation environments.
• Exposure to graph reasoning or open-source contributions in agentic AI.
• Publications or research experience in AI agent development.
