Tasks:

Development of detailed case studies. Construction of nonverbal scenes that embody disjunctive reasoning and behavioral relationships, expanding our research to the conception of alternative possibilities. Conducting tests with children and adults with oculomotor and neuroimaging techniques to look for signatures of logical representations and inferences induced by passive inspection of simple scenes based on previous results.

Understand the nature of the representations evoked by simple nonverbal disjunctive reasoning in children and adults

Describe the dynamics of brain activation evoked by simple nonverbal reasoning using magnetoencephalography and eye-tracking techniques

Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge in cognitive neuroscience, a PhD in Information and Communication Technologies or similar is preferred.

• Demonstrable experience (publications) on the research topics, especially on the nature of propositional reasoning, oculometry techniques applied to nonverbal reasoning and neuroimaging techniques:

o 1. Understanding the nature of the representations elicited by simple nonverbal disjunctive reasoning, in infants and adults (EEG/Oculomotor experiments)

o 2. Describing the dynamics of brain activation elicited by simple nonverbal reasoning
