Summary of Duties: Create machine learning models in areas of customer, pricing, inventory, space and assortment to discover insights that drive customer, operational and product strategy for Stores, eCommerce and Services. Build, maintain, optimize, and productionize machine-learning frameworks to quantify impact of business actions on Omnichannel business. Create new data pipelines using latest technologies that seamlessly integrate with multiple databases. Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data to answer specific questions or improving system performance. Identify scalable opportunities by analyzing historical data and collaborate with business stakeholders to assess their impact. Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters. Provide requirements to develop analytic capabilities, platforms, and pipelines. Apply statistical or machine learning knowledge to identify and solve specific business problems and data. Conduct written and verbal presentation to share insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication. Utilize code (Python/R/SQL) for data analyzing and modeling algorithms. Conduct tracking and measurement of KPIs related to multiple business areas. Mentor data scientists and associate data scientists on technique and process.

100% remote position reporting to: 654 Richland Hills Drive, San Antonio, TX 78245

Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Math or related field of study and 2 years of experience in Data Science or 2 years of experience in Data Analytics, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance or any combination thereof.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

• 2 years of experience with consumer pricing concepts such as price elasticity, price optimization, demand forecasting, or consumer segmentation;
• Building models in Python using causal inference, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, optimization, econometrics or statistics to optimize decision-making;
• Analyzing enterprise-level multi-dimensional data sets stored in Google Big Query, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or similar enterprise database with tools including Python and SQL;
• Deploying machine learning algorithms using AWS, GCP, Airflow, Terraform, or Docker; and
• presenting analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences.

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

$93,000 - $139,500/year. Exact rate of pay will be based on position, location, and experience level.
