Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Manager Data Strategy and Analytics 2 to lead the Data Strategy & Analytics team. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. The team is responsible for establishing a culture of data driven decision making and creating business value through promoting the application of data analytics techniques across a broad range of business areas. They will regularly interact with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and deploy data analytics systems that are aligned to our strategic roadmap. The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial, a self-starter and have the ability to challenge the status quo. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement the Extract, Transform and Load and analytics strategy
  • Build and lead a high performing team of data engineers and analysts
  • Strong communication, organizational and team management credentials
  • Proactively identify issues and inefficiencies within the business to develop and deploy solutions
  • Drive the adoption of data analysis methodologies across program operations for improved performance analysis
  • Lead the monitoring and analysis of operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide recommendations/solutions
  • Actively engage with program leaders and key stakeholders to identify and understand operational problems
  • Design and manage the data infrastructure, network, and system automation
  • Knowledge & experience measuring performance using EVMS processes and reporting EVMS metrics
  • Experience managing projects and delivering results to support overall program objectives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science with 8 years of applicable professional experience or a master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science with 6 years of applicable professional experience.
  • Experience as a technical leader of product development teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven products
  • Experience with data analytics tools and techniques
  • Experience with UX design and development
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance and Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex analytical subject matter across varied audiences
  • Strong understanding of business and engineering processes, tools, and techniques
  • Experience with large scale distributed software and agile software development methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of hands on software development experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing product visions and fostering effective engineering teams
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing insights from multiple data sources
  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman policy, process, and products
  • Ability to make decisions with minimal support
  • Experience in a program management role
  • Current DOD Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $112,800.00 - $184,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
