Role Responsibilities

  • Develop core algorithms that integrate physics models, sensor data, and learned behavior to produce real-time predictions and diagnostics.
  • Build hybrid modeling frameworks combining first-principles simulations with statistical or machine-learned inference.
  • Research and implement data fusion techniques across spatial, temporal, and multi-modal domains.
  • Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to define input/output signal requirements, latencies, and feedback loops.
  • Prototype, validate, and iterate on algorithms using real and simulated datasets.
  • Contribute to model deployment pipelines for real-time inference on edge or embedded systems.
  • Participate in IP generation (e.g., patents or publications).
  • Collaborate with department leads to identify business questions and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet strategic needs
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models and technical specifications
  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts and/or contractors
  • Ensure high-quality data integrity, validation processes, and governance
  • Provide data storytelling that drives alignment and decision-making across all levels of the organization
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve analytics capabilities and efficiency
  • Present findings and performance insights to senior leadership and executive teams
  • Work with application developers on the team and within product divisions to incorporate applications onto the platform
  • Work with key customers to roll out and implement

Requirements

  • PhD or MS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Deep understanding of physical modeling techniques (e.g., inverse problems, signal processing, PDEs, Kalman filters).
  • Experience with machine learning, ideally in hybrid model settings (e.g., physics-informed neural networks, surrogate modeling, model-based reinforcement learning).
  • Strong coding skills in Python, or MATLAB; experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow) and numerical computing libraries.
  • Familiarity with working on time-series data, sensor fusion, or real-time decision systems.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and iterate rapidly on novel problems.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in algorithm implementation at scale on real data
  • Experience working with large datasets and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift)
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and building data-driven culture
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

That special something you bring in

  • Fearless at starting something new
  • Curious and able to work science magic among multiple sophisticated measuring hardware technologies
  • You’ll be part of a founding team shaping a platform with the potential to transform how critical physical systems are understood, controlled, and optimized. If you thrive at the frontier of software, hardware, and scientific modeling, we want to work with you
