ABOUT THE KINGS LEAGUE

Kings League has become a global phenomenon that has revolutionized and elevated sport and entertainment to a new dimension. A new 7-a-side football league with teams chaired by the world's best streamers and content creators, with revolutionary rules aimed at uniting the best of football and e-sports.

Passionate, optimist, open-minded and disruptive, we reimagine the game every day, all together.

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Kings League, we're building a next-generation entertainment ecosystem: fast-paced, experimental, and fueled by tech. We're looking for an AI Automation Intern to join our Digital team and help us streamline internal workflows, prototype new utilities, and explore how AI can solve real problems today. Not in theory, but in tools we’ll actually use.

You’ll build simple but powerful internal products: the kind that replace messy spreadsheets, reduce manual workflows, and make our teams faster and sharper. Some will be internal. Some might become user-facing. Most will involve a mix of backend logic, automation, and LLM-based features.

This is a hands-on builder role, ideal for someone early in their technical career (bootcamp grad, recent CS/engineering student) who’s hungry to learn and wants to ship things that matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build lightweight internal tools to automate or simplify manual workflows (e.g. using Python, Node.js, or no-code frameworks).
  • Design backend logic and interfaces for tools that might eventually be used across teams (operations, marketing, CRM, etc.).
  • Use platforms like Retool, N8n, or Make to create fast prototypes that integrate with APIs and databases.
  • Explore LLM-based features, such as chat interfaces, extraction/classification tools, and agent workflows using APIs like OpenAI or Claude.
  • Support the Digital & Product teams in fast-turnaround tool experiments, sometimes internal, sometimes consumer-facing
  • Help maintain a growing internal library of tools, scripts, and utilities
  • Learn directly from senior product and business team members while growing your technical toolkit

Qualifications:

This is not a senior AI research role. It's a builder role, one where curiosity, pragmatism, and shipping attitude matter more than deep ML knowledge.

  • Technical studies completed or in final stages (e.g. Computer Science, AI bootcamp like IronHack, or similar)
  • Some programming experience; enough to build backend logic and call APIs (Python, JavaScript, etc)
  • Curious about how AI tools actually work and how they can be applied to real workflows
  • Strong problem-solving mindset: you enjoy untangling a manual mess and turning it into a usable product
  • Clear communicator — able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and very operationally, a sense of written and oral communication in English.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Retool, N8n, Make, or similar tools
  • Comfort working with APIs and basic CRUD operations
  • Exposure to LangChain, LLM agents, or orchestration frameworks (even if just via personal projects)
  • Familiarity with OpenAI, Claude, or Hugging Face APIs
  • Understanding of how to work with structured and unstructured data (e.g. JSON, CSVs, SQL)
  • Interest in sports, media, or the broader creator economy

Application Process

We want to see where your curiosity has taken you with this kind of tinkering. If you’ve got a personal project, GitHub repo, or AI experiment you’ve worked on, send it over.

Diversity & Inclusion commitment

At Kings League we strongly believe in building an inclusive and diverse work environment, where everyone can develop their full potential. We are committed to integrating people with any profile, independently of gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, origin and/or disability status, and fostering a team where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and grow. If you meet the requirements of the position, we invite you to send us your application; we value the richness that diversity brings and look forward to welcoming your talent and experience.
