Global Data Management (GDM) is responsible for delivering high-quality financial data to both our internal and external clients through ALTO Investment, our proprietary Portfolio Management System. Collaborating closely with GDM offices in Europe, we ensure seamless, round-the-clock access to accurate and reliable financial data.

 

The Tokyo GDM team plays a critical role as the first office to open globally each day, ensuring that all financial data is accurately prepared and validated before other offices begin their operations for other Asian and European entities. Our responsibilities also include generating and distributing comprehensive daily quality reports to users.

 
We manage a wide range of global financial data, encompassing equities, bonds, currencies, derivatives, indexes, and portfolios, ensuring data integrity and availability across all asset classes.

 

  • Daily Monitoring of Index Data Integration: Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of index data.
  • Support for Fund Management: Assist in the creation and modification of internal funds for Asian entities, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
  • Financial Data Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of financial data, including the development of benchmarks for portfolios.
  • Portfolio Registration: Manage the registration and updating of Amundi portfolio characteristics to maintain accurate records.
  • User Support: Provide effective support to users, fostering strong working relationships across different time zones and cultures. Communicate efficiently with external vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Data-Related Projects: Serve as a liaison between business teams and IT in Paris to facilitate system changes and enhancements as required.

Previous experience in finance or working with capital market data.

Required skills

  • Strong familiarity with capital markets, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, funds, and indices.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and VBA, with the ability to independently execute and develop new code from scratch.
  • Utilize technical skills (SQL, Python) to ensure the accuracy of large analytical datasets, automate processes through scripting, and efficiently query complex databases.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously across various systems and platforms.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex environment, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve time-sensitive issues effectively.

Technical skills required

Experience working with Excel and programming languages such as SQL and Python, enabling effective understanding and collaboration with the team’s codebase.
