The growing massive needs of the ASML ecosystem around data present phenomenal challenges and opportunities. Building on previous achievements, the Chief Data Office (CDO) is stepping up to support and enable the organization to leverage the value of data, and ultimately contribute to ASML’s ecosystem cost-efficient sustainable growth.
The CDO is looking for a dynamic Data Strategy Manager. You will be a key member in the CDO organization. You will be at the center of enabling and driving ASML’s organizational empowerment to leverage the value of data, building bridges cross-sector to facilitate needs and setting the stage for the art of the possible with data.
Role and responsibilities
As a Data Strategy Manager, you will service our key stakeholder groups (x-sector programs, sectors, business lines) to enable an integrated journey around value delivery with data. This includes developing strategy, enabling value and capabilities to support stakeholders' objectives. You are at the heart of the action to shape the strategy and drive value enablement with data. Overall, this Data Strategy Manager role is a balanced role of business, strategy, data acumen, and a relentless drive to deliver impact with data, and enable the capabilities to do so.
As Data Strategy Manager, you service our key stakeholders in the journey to shape ASML’s data journey towards data maturity. Ensuring connection of strategy, value, delivery, and foundational levels:
Connecting strategy to value
- You own the CDO strategy development, in very strong collaboration with all parties.
- You ensure our strategic and results-driven focus is well translated and embed within the organization.
- You facilitate connections with the data capabilities, for cohesive alignment on value, to our different stakeholder groups, and more transversally where needed.
- You enable a joint understanding of the “art of the possible” and how to achieve it.
- You contribute to shaping the data strategies and data roadmaps with stakeholders, within and x-sector, ensuring the necessary sponsorship.
Enabling execution at scale
- You facilitate connection between data strategy and value, and directly support CDO strategy execution at scale.
- You safeguard that the prioritized data roadmap is based on enabling value and data capabilities ramp-up.
- You learn to speak the language of stakeholders, know their business, their processes, and you help develop that knowledge in CDO capability teams.
Enabling capability ramp up
- You help identify capability gaps in and across stakeholders to meet objectives and work together with CDO capability teams in prioritizing upgrade support.
- You bridge the strategy on capabilities development, strategic approach and data assets strategy, keeping up to date with major data industry developments.
- You help secure alignment of standards for data assets together with the CDO MT.
- You strive for continuous improvement, share best practices - for instance on the developments from AI.
Education and Experience
You excel in stakeholder management and have a growth mindset, learning quickly and valuing people. Ideally you bring the following profile:
- You have extensive and diverse experience serving a complex organizational landscape in motivating set-up of new competences, driving change programs, orchestrate as a service.
- At least 3 years experience in relevant consultancy firms (MBB/Tier2).
- You have 10+ years’ work experience in data strategy-related roles.
- You have a Master’s degree in Business Administration / Economics / Data / Engineering or related combined with a strong affinity with Data, Analytics, AI, and Technology.
- Highly beneficial if you have an extensive network and knowledge of ASML; You guide and bring the ASML language and stakeholder specifics to CDO.
Context of the Position
The Data Strategy Manager sits in CDO, within the IT & Data sector. You will report to the Lead Data Partner of CDO at ASML. You will work closely with the entire CDO team and with (senior) stakeholders, at different levels of the organizational hierarchy.
The CDO combined internal and external workforce spans a direct global team that serves across ASML. Our data enabling services include data management and governance, data and analytics platforms, data analytics delivery, and AI services enablement, all to serve transversally to empower higher levels of data maturity at the ASML ecosystem, in strong partnership with the organization.
