About the Team
This pivotal role supports SuF in building and distributing advanced data and research products tailored to sophisticated ESG-sensitive fixed income investors. Reporting to the Head Product Owner, you will support the quality, usability, and delivery of ESG data, which is central to SuF’s value proposition. We’ll Count on You To:
- Shape Data-Centric Features – Partner with Product Owners across internal tools and external products to define, test, and refine features like calculated fields, indicators, schema updates, and query logic that improve usability and impact.
- Prototype and Validate Data Products – Conduct exploratory analysis and quickly prototype datasets or tools to test new product concepts, turning ambiguous ideas into MVPs that guide priorities and speed up delivery.
- Ensure Data Quality and Reliability – Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, validate output consistency, and improve the accuracy and trustworthiness of key data assets over time.
- Support AI-Related Initiatives – Assist in shaping structured, reusable data assets and contribute to GenAI and ML efforts by supporting schema design, preparing training data, and prototyping solutions that help make our data more usable and intelligence-ready.
What You Need to Have:
- Hands-on Data Experience – Comfortable writing SQL queries and working with Python or R to manipulate, analyze, and validate data.
- Analytical Curiosity – Natural inclination to dig into complex datasets, identify patterns or inconsistencies, and generate actionable insights.
- Product Orientation – Strong user empathy and interest in building tools that solve real-world problems and improve internal workflows.
- Structured Communication Skills – Ability to clearly explain data issues, propose solutions, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bias for Action – Willingness to explore, test, and iterate quickly, even when requirements are ambiguous or evolving.

- Prior experience as an analyst, data analyst, data scientist, or data/analytics engineer
- Exposure to a wide variety of datasets including different domains, structures and formats
- Background in financial services or ESG data

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $110,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
