The main elements of the role are:
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Data Analyst to join our data transformation journey. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you’ll take ownership of core reporting, data modelling and analysis across trading, digital marketing, customer and product performance.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills who is also confident collaborating with non-technical stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in shaping how data is used across the business, from improving source-to-report data pipelines to delivering insights that drive business decisions. You should have experience working in a fast-paced digital/ecommerce environment and be comfortable balancing short-term reporting needs with longer term infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting, Analysis & Insights
- Build and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards, particularly for trading, marketing and customer performance
- Act as a data business partner, helping teams to frame questions, clarify metrics and translate data into clear, actionable insights.
- Deliver proactive analysis that are commercially relevant and decision focussed.
- Analytics Engineering & Data Modelling
- Develop and maintain well structured, scalable data models in Google BigQuery
- Apply analytics engineering best practices, including modular SQL development, version control and documentation
- Contribute to improving data quality and consistency by helping define and standardise key business metrics and KPIs
- Support the creation and maintenance of a lightweight data catalogue/dictionary, helping to build clarity and trust in key metrics across the business.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a data analyst role, ideally in a digital-first retail or ecommerce environment
- Strong SQL skills, comfortable working with large datasets in a cloud data warehouse
- A solid grasp of data modelling principles and experience transforming raw data into a structured, analysis-ready format
- Adept in data visualisation and storytelling
- Confident in communicating with non-technical stakeholders and teams, translating data into recommendations, not just numbers
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with tools like Looker Studio, dbt, Git or similar is a plus.
