As an AI & Solution Architect, you'll you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Milan. Toghther, we'll work on the evolution of Nexi’s digital platforms by designing end-to-end architectures that integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise-grade solutions. You combine technical leadership with a business-driven mindset. You’re passionate about building scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions that align with real-world business needs. Your experience spans from architectural governance to machine learning systems, and you’re eager to play a key role in accelerating innovation in the digital payment ecosystem.

About Your Future Role

In this position you will:

• Design and deliver sustainable architectures that translate functional and non-functional requirements into reliable and high-performing systems.
• Act as a strategic advisor for cloud-native adoption, integration, and modernization initiatives.
• Enable and govern the adoption of AI and ML technologies, ensuring alignment with business priorities and data protection requirements.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to guide architecture decisions and technology roadmaps.
• Support and lead initiatives related to API ecosystems, data integration, and service interoperability in complex environments.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large enterprise environments, ideally in financial services or digital payments.
• Deep knowledge of architectural governance, integration design, and cloud adoption patterns.
• Strong track record in defining architectures that balance scalability, performance, and security.
• Experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions across multiple stakeholders and domains.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services related to compute, networking, storage, and AI.
• AI/ML Specific Skills:
  - Solid foundation in traditional AI algorithms and machine learning principles (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, NLP).
  - Proficient with AI/ML libraries and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and related frameworks.
  - Hands-on experience with TensorFlow Developer Tools, including TensorFlow Extended (TFX), TensorBoard, and model optimization techniques.
  - Understanding of MLOps practices, model lifecycle, and the integration of ML pipelines into enterprise applications.
  - Awareness of emerging applications of Generative AI (GenAI) in digital ecosystems.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with API design and orchestration strategies (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Previous contributions to digital transformation programs in regulated industries.
