A week in the life of our Founding US Solutions Engineer

It's Monday morning in our Manhattan office. You're prepping with our CEO for a high-stakes demo at KKR's headquarters. You've built a custom POC using their actual portfolio data, showcasing how our AI extracts critical lease terms across a $2B property portfolio in minutes, not months. Their CTO challenges you on our technical approach, and you confidently explain why our multi-model architecture outperforms single-LLM solutions. Tuesday, you're running back-to-back POCs with Starwood Capital and a Boston REIT, demonstrating how our State Stream Transformer handles complex workflows that competitors can't touch. Between sessions, you're refining prompts based on each client's unique document structures. Wednesday, you shift to implementation mode with an existing client, configuring workflows for their acquisition analysis. By the end of the day, you've shipped a solution that transforms weeks of manual review into hours of automated insight. Thursday brings validation: Monday's prospect wants to move forward immediately. Then you're gathering user feedback from existing clients, identifying new opportunities to add value. Friday, you're back with our CEO, translating the week's learnings into compelling narratives about why Fifth Dimension's approach to AI is fundamentally better than anything else in the market.

What you’ll do

As our first US-based Solutions Engineer, you'll work directly with our CEO and CPO to build our American presence. You'll split your time between our New York office, client sites across the US, and trips to our London HQ.

Day to day, you will:

• Partner closely with our CEO on US go-to-market strategy, supporting with PoCs, demos and sales conversations, helping shape how we win in the American market
• Engage with enterprise clients to understand their workflows, gather feedback, and identify AI automation opportunities
• Travel (25-30%) to client sites across the US, building deep relationships with the teams who rely on our platform
• Design and implement advanced prompt engineering solutions using our AI platform, including:
  • Complex data extraction from property leases, offering memoranda, and financial documents
  • Multi-step workflow automation for investment analysis and portfolio management
• Lead proof-of-concept implementations that directly influence multi-million-dollar real estate decisions 
• Become the voice of the US customer, sharing insights with our product & engineering team to influence roadmap priorities 
• Build our US solutions playbook, creating repeatable patterns while maintaining our "bespoke at scale" approach

What we're looking for

You're a rising star in the solutions engineering world, ready to take ownership of a massive opportunity. You've got hands-on experience with generative AI, and you're obsessed with finding elegant solutions to complex problems. The idea of being the first Solutions Engineer in the US, working directly with the CEO, and shaping a company's entire market strategy energizes you.

You bring:

• Experience in solutions engineering, implementation, or technical customer success, ideally in enterprise SaaS
• Deep passion for prompt engineering and AI, you've experimented with all the models, and you understand how to coax optimal outputs through careful prompt design
• Proven track record of owning client deliverables in high-stakes environments
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to context-switch between technical implementation and executive conversations
• Exceptional attention to detail, you can wade through a thousand-page real estate document and spot the critical insights
• Startup DNA: you're ready for the hours, tight deadlines, and moments where your work directly impacts company success
• Are based in or willing to relocate to New York City

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience coding for building proof-of-concepts
• Experience at a high-growth startup or in a forward deployed engineering role
• Real estate, financial services, or legal industry knowledge
• Previous experience working directly with C-suite executives
• International experience or comfort working across time zones with our London team
