Position Summary
The Manager, Data Management role is responsible for leading the organization’s data management strategy while overseeing data quality, operations and ensuring data assets are supporting business owners. This role will manage a team of data professionals (Data Engineers and Database Administrators) that will drive data integrity, security and compliance while adhering and fostering data governance policies.Please note: In compliance with MPHC’s Department of Defense government contract, any/all persons hired for this position will need to verify their US citizenship and complete the required employment eligibility verification upon hire.
Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees are expected to work consistently to demonstrate the mission, vision, and core values of the organization.
- Provide data strategy leadership to ensure data is supporting organizational priorities and needs.
- Manage and mentor a team of data professionals ensuring a focus on industry standard and best practice data management policies with a high focus on professional growth and training.
- Oversee data quality management processes to ensure managed date conforms to specification files, validations and data quality checks.
- Implement data management tools to support business growth needs.
- Oversee database security measures align with compliance and best practice (access controls, audits, regulations)
- Comprehensively document all data processes and provide training to staff members.
- Partner with business leaders to understand project requirements and measurements of data process success.
- Ensures high performance and availability of data infrastructure.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Data Science or other related field.
- Master’s degree in related field, highly preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years in data management or data related field, with a focus of leadership or team management.
- Experience in overseeing data management operations, database administration and data governance at an enterprise level.
- 10+ years in data management or data related field, with a focus of leadership or team management.
- Experience with cloud-based data management platforms and solutions (Azure) preferred.
