The Role
The Analyst, Data Services supports the development and delivery of data integration, reporting, and visualization solutions for Nordic clients and internal stakeholders. This entry-level role works under the direction of senior analytics and reporting staff to execute projects that improve business operations, inform strategic decisions, and maximize the value of healthcare data.
The ideal candidate brings curiosity, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a high-performing analytics team. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare data analytics, project execution, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
The Analyst will perform a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Client Delivery Support
- Assist with the development of dashboards, reports, and data models based on client requirements
- Support data integration and transformation activities across multiple healthcare data types (e.g., claims, EHR, operational data)
- Conduct data validation and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of outputs
- Participate in client meetings, requirements gathering sessions, and presentation reviews
- Fulfill ad hoc data and reporting requests independently or with guidance from senior staff
- Contribute to project documentation, testing, and user support efforts
Technical and Analytical Execution
- Analyze healthcare and operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop data visualizations and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Write and optimize basic SQL queries or assist in querying large datasets (training provided if needed)
- Participate in solution testing, upgrades, and performance assessments
- Apply foundational statistical or data science techniques (descriptive, trend, comparative analysis) where applicable
Internal Operations & Process Improvement
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal tools, templates, and documentation
- Support the development of reusable analytics assets and best practice materials
- Participate in internal team initiatives, knowledge sharing sessions, and training opportunities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows and operational efficiency within the Data Services team
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and communicate progress effectively
Skills and Experience
- Generally, requires a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience or 6 years of related experience and no degree
- Degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, data science, information systems, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, healthcare, or related technical roles (internships, academic projects, or part-time roles welcome)
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
- Interest or introductory experience in SQL or Python is a plus
