The Impact You’ll Make in this Role


As an IT Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing IT solutions that meet business requirements and align with the organization's strategic goals. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, develop architectural frameworks, and ensure the successful delivery of IT projects. Your role will involve evaluating technologies, creating solution designs, and providing technical leadership.

  • Lead End-to-End Solution Architecture: Drive the comprehensive data architecture across a diverse ecosystem, including Snowflake, SAP S/4HANA/ECC & Datasphere, MS Dynamics 365, BPCS, Salesforce, Workday, Concur, Oracle, JDE, MES, and various external data sources.
  • Design Integrated Data Solutions: Architect highly integrated data models that effectively support critical business domains such as Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and others.
  • Translate and Optimize Data for Analytics: Transform complex Enterprise Application and ERP transactional and master data into optimized, analytics-ready structures within Snowflake and other downstream platforms.
  • Standardize Key Business Metrics: Define and standardize crucial business metrics and KPIs across IT, finance, sales, supply chain, customer operations, and manufacturing domains to ensure consistent reporting and analysis.
  • Design and Implement Data Pipelines: Design and oversee the implementation of efficient data pipelines and ELT frameworks utilizing tools like SAP Datasphere, HVR, Fivetran, and Informatica.
  • Integrate Diverse Data Sources: Lead the integration of ERP (SAP, MS D365, BPCS, Oracle, JDE) and Non-ERP (Salesforce, Workday, Concur, MES, external sources, etc.) data with Snowflake or other cloud data lakes, adhering to best practices for data quality, scalability, and performance.
  • Ensure Data Solution Robustness: Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure the development of robust, well-documented Source-to-Target Mappings (STTMs).
  • Deliver Data Models for Reporting: Support critical operational and reporting requirements by delivering comprehensive data models for regulatory, financial, and management reporting.
  • Provide Technical Oversight for Data Access: Offer technical oversight for data access strategies (ODP, CDS Views, APIs), ensuring optimal operational efficiency and performance.
  • Guide Data Issue Resolution: Lead the troubleshooting of data issues in production environments and collaborate with support teams to identify and resolve root causes.
  • Contribute to Data Governance: Actively contribute to data governance practices by ensuring data lineage, stewardship, and metadata are deeply embedded within the architectural designs.
  • Ensure Data Compliance: Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure all data designs and usage adhere to GDPR/SOX compliance standards.
  • Act as a Strategic Data Advisor: Serve as the primary data advisor to business and IT stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment between data capabilities and overarching business goals.
  • Lead Architectural Design Sessions: Facilitate and lead architecture sessions with functional consultants, product owners, and analysts to validate designs and drive successful solution adoption.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3MHealth requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND eight (8) years of data analytics experience in a public, private or military environment.

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND sixteen (16) years of years of data analytics experience in a public, private or military environment.

AND
 

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • 8–12 years in Solution Architecture or related roles, with at least 5 years of SAP-specific data modeling experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team of data engineers or similar technical roles.
  • Knowledge of ERPs such as SAP S/4HANA/ECC, and Datasphere, from a solution integration perspective.
  • Hands-on with Snowflake, data modeling, SQL, Data Vault or Star Schema modeling, and SQL, applied in a solution design context.
  • Familiarity with integration tools like HVR, Fivetran, or Informatica, understanding their application in end-to-end solutions.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Collaborative, agile mindset with ability to operate in cross-functional teams and demonstrate leadership within those teams.
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse teams.
  • 1 year of experience with Salesforce, Workday, Concur or any other Enterprise application, specifically concerning data integration and solutioning.
  • 2 years with ML/AI, advanced analytics, or data science software, understanding how these can be integrated into broader data solutions.
  • Skills include: data engineering principles, Data Governance frameworks, effective oral and written communication with senior leadership and front-line developers, strategic thinking, technical leadership, and prior experience building and developing high-performing engineering teams focused on data solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus
  • Ability to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
  • Deep understanding of key business metrics in IT, finance, sales, logistics, and manufacturing, and how they translate into data solutions.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $207,348 - $253,425, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
