Rakuten Payment is the company within the Rakuten Group responsible for payment services. It provides payment services such as "Rakuten Pay" and "Rakuten Point Card," connecting merchants (stores that can use Rakuten Payment services) with users and contributing to the promotion of a more convenient cashless society.

The Customer Service Development Department develops cross-functional services for Rakuten Payment's merchants and internal Rakuten Payment staff. It also plays a crucial role in promoting AI. As the core of the AI strategy, it leads the company-wide implementation of AI.

This department promotes the application of AI to all operations within Rakuten Payment, including sales, marketing, and screening. Through these activities, it aims to provide value to payment users and merchants through AI, contributing to the payment business.

The department is responsible for the entire AI project lifecycle, from planning to business application and operation. It also operates multiple AI-powered products. It handles a wide range of AI-related services, such as data integration platforms and fraud detection systems that support internal operations. A key feature is the ability to acquire a broad understanding of market trends and business knowledge related to Rakuten Payment services, as it is not limited to a specific business area. Position Details
Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for promoting AI within Rakuten Payment, executing AI themes, and building the AI infrastructure. You will plan AI-powered projects that contribute to users and the business, and be responsible for stakeholder management, ROI definition, designing execution formations, defining project deliverables, risk management, and delivery planning.

You will lead the project to success by working together with the project manager, data scientist, and engineering teams, while managing risks, managing the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and visualizing dependencies.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- AI Project Management Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in managing projects utilizing AI.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding and knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data science.
- Team Management Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and data scientists.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly resolve issues that arise during project execution.
- Language Skills: Ability to conduct basic conversations in English.

- Agile Development Experience: Experience in projects using Agile development methodologies such as Scrum.
