The Role
Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. We are seeking a Director, Quant Development to join our Quantitative Research & Investing Technology team. The role is an integral part for developing the investment risk platform. You will be technical lead responsible for the development of Python libraries used to support the analytical needs of various models (like Returns, VCV, VaR, IRC, CRM, time series models (anomaly detection, statistical gap-filling), stress testing models) to be implemented on the platform.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Quantitative Finance, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science; and 5+ years of relevant work experience involving a significant quantitative development component
Very good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills to influence decisions and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization
Strong Python programming skills and packages used for data manipulation, time series and data analysis required
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques particularly in the area of time series anomaly detection, required
Knowledge of market risk modelling methodologies (value-at-risk, expected shortfall, Greek-based VaR) strongly preferred
Trading markets knowledge within the FX, rates, credit, equity, commodity space strongly preferred
Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
Experience in designing and implementing the analytical frameworks.
Experience with Containerization strategies using Docker and Serverless Application Architectures
Experience with API Management, domain modeling, policy modeling.
Experience with CI/CD infrastructure as code and pipeline as code (Jenkins / Concourse).
Knowledge of continuous integration, static code analysis and test-driven development.
Solid technical background with a willingness to continually learn and apply knowledge with hands-on development
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
