Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Master Data Analyst to join our team in Porto, Portugal. In this role, you will be learning how to manage, analyse, and optimize master data to ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across all systems and processes.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of master data to ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across systems.
- Assist in documenting and applying basic data governance guidelines under the direction of senior team members.
- Help analyze datasets to identify basic trends or discrepancies, with guidance, to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Participate in data cleansing activities and support data enrichment efforts using predefined procedures and tools.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather data requirements and help translate them into actionable insights.
- Contribute to updating and maintaining simple data models with oversight, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Assist in setting up and testing data validation rules and automated checks developed by the team.
- Help build and maintain routine reports and dashboards using standardized tools to share findings with stakeholders.
- Provide support for data projects by preparing documentation, cleaning data, or conducting basic analysis tasks.
- Stay curious and proactive by learning about new tools, trends, and best practices in data management and analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Informatics, Management or Life Sciences will be valued, but not a hard requirement.
- 1-2 years of experience
- Knowledge of Databases and related objects, mainly from the conceptual side
- A taste for patterns, structure, details and clarity.
- A taste for continuous improvement and constructive challenge of the status-quo.
- A taste for abstraction and complex problems requiring the use of logic, good communication and creative solutions
- Interest in the complex and highly regulated world of the Life Sciences line of business.
- Strong communication skills
- Good Excel skills are valued, given the extensive use of this tool.
- A lot of curiosity.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
