We are looking for a highly experienced data engineer and analytics consultant to join our Analytics Solutions team, where across business disciplines data-based solutions are developed and supported with passion and enthusiasm. We promise a highly motivated, very professional team, in an exciting, challenging, and internationally oriented environment of a rapidly evolving and modernizing IT at Fresenius.

Together we can do more! You will work as part of a team and with a variety of stakeholders to implement data-based solutions end-to-end, from integrated data provision to data processing and analytics to integration into downstream systems, e.g. for corporate reporting or planning. Even after project completion, you are a sought-after contact person and advise and support our specialist departments and users in close cooperation. As an all-rounder, you will also support the set-up, continuous enhancement, and operation of our central data platform.

Your assigments

  • Consult, design, and implement best practices for data engineering and analytics projects

  • Support for the detailed analysis and design in the specification part as well as the transfer of user requirements into viable concepts

  • Contribution to the scoping and planning of projects and solutions

  • Preparation of cost estimates for sub-projects

  • Responsibility for the design of solution architectures

  • Implementation of concepts and operational quality assurance measures

  • Providing second and third level support

Your profile

  • University degree in analytics related field (business information systems, data science, physics, math, computer science) or comparable education

  • Multiple years of professional experience as a data engineer in an industrial environment

  • Very good knowledge of data analysis and data engineering, especially in Python, R, Scala a/o Julia as well as sound know-how in SQL programming, Java and C/C++

  • In-depth experience with data analytics and data engineering tools in Azure like cloud storage, databases and data warehouses, engineering tools, Kubernetes, serverless, Terraform as well as with the BI & Analytics stacks such as Databricks, Datasphere,Fabric, and Power BI

  • Experience with SAP BW

  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • Being a committed team player and active co-thinker who scores with quick comprehension and considerable problem-solving skill
