We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our ambitious US Power Trading team. This is your opportunity to play a key role in a small fast growing trading team in the dynamic and evolving US power market, working alongside talented traders who share your drive for excellence and innovation.
Our US Power Trading team is based across Aarhus (HQ), New York, and Revelstoke, Canada – offering you a truly international work environment where collaboration across borders is part of everyday life. As part of the onboarding, we’re looking for someone who’s open to spending time in Canada – whether for a shorter or longer stay – working side by side with our team in Revelstoke to build strong connections and gain first-hand experience in our trading setup.

As a quantitative analyst in MFT, you’ll be at the heart of our US power trading team, which specializes in navigating one of the world’s most complex and fast-moving energy markets.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Modelling: Build Mathematical models to support trading strategies.
- Data infrastructure: Enhance and streamline data pipelines, ensuring robust analytics and efficient operations.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with experienced and data driven traders and software developers to translate market insights into actionable tools and models.
- Innovation: Research and implement new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead in energy market modeling and analytics.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to solve complex problems from the ground up with next-level curiosity. Being a successful quantitative analyst in MFT Energy isn’t just about having a strong track record. It’s about bringing your experience and skills into play while staying curious, driven, and open to learning.
Skills we believe are important for success:
- Master’s or PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or another quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python and a statically typed programming language.
- Experience designing and maintaining reliable, automated systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills preferable with strong knowledge of Statistics.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- At least 1-2 years of experience within commodity trading
You should expect technical tests as part of the recruitment process.
