The Wealth Management Data Solutions (WMDS) organization provides direct technology support for core engineering products, operational data products and data analytics. About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst to lead data insight efforts during requirements gathering and contribute to the design of scalable, cloud-enabled technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with data profiling, transformation logic, and volume analysis to ensure solutions meet SLAs. A strong understanding of data architecture across on-prem and public cloud environments is essential, along with knowledge of distributed systems like Hadoop and Hive. The role also involves aligning data requirements with analytics tools, supporting BI integration, and executing WIMT’s data strategy to enhance platform stability and cross-functional reporting capabilities. Additionally, the analyst will assist production support and application teams by triaging and analyzing production datasets during incident management. In this role, you will:

  • Organize and lead complex companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes

  • Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements

  • Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues

  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data governance standards and procedures

  • Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data

  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members

  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy

  • Serve as relationship manager for a line of business

  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility

  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years SQL Experience writing and executing efficient queries

  • 3+ years of working knowledge of Hadoop and Hive as a data consumer or analyst


Desired Qualifications:

  • GCP Certification

  • 2+ years Google Big Query

  • Ability to query and analyze large datasets

  • Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem tools and data structures

  • Understanding of Hive’s capabilities and limitations for data access and reporting

  • Experience interpreting data stored in distributed systems for business or operational use

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
