Sleep Number seeks Senior Research Scientist (multiple openings) in San Jose, CA.  Responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions using sleep data-based insights.  Duties include designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining machine learning algorithms.  Requires bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or closely related field and 60 months post-bachelors progressive experience will be required in 3 of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, signal processing, software engineering, or cloud computing.  Alternative requirements include master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related field and 36 months post-bachelors progressive experience will be required in 3 of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, signal processing, software engineering, or cloud computing.  Stated experience must also include:  at least 2 yrs experience in at least 3 of the following: Python, Matlab, JAVA, R, Scala; 1 year project management; 2 years Spark; 2 years AWS; 1 year Product development cycle; and 2 years Defect tracking, design reviews, and appropriate testing.  Any suitable combination of training, education and experience equivalent to primary job requirements is acceptable.  Required completion of employer qualitative assessment to confirm technical proficiencies.

Salary Pay Range: $147,400.00 -$216,267.00
