Data and Analytics Advanced Development Program, Senior Associate

Core Responsibilities

1.     Completes rotation objectives across any one of Vanguard’s primary and complex business while driving value-add initiatives focused on decision making in key business areas.

2.     Delivers high quality results for all projects and assignments during the course of each rotation; applies the overall department goals to accomplish specific project assignments.

3.     Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and supports projects through completion.

4.     Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.

5.     Takes ownership of personal and professional development through: participation in program-initiated meetings and projects, attending all training sessions required by the program or rotational assignments and creating and maintaining a personal plan to track development and accomplishments throughout the year.

6.     Develops a strong understanding of Vanguard's data methodology, including approaches to structured and unstructured data, AWS Stack, cloud architecture, Tableau and other reporting tools and all relevant systems.

7.     Navigates assigned division and ancillary data departments by building a comprehensive network of contacts that can be leveraged to complete assigned tasks.

8.     Demonstrates accountability for issues by accepting ownership throughout the problem resolution process.

9.     Develops a broad understanding of the Vanguard Divisions, strategies, and initiatives and a deep understanding of CDAO.

10.  Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·       Undergraduate degree required. Preferred majors include, but not limited to, Business Analytics, Data & Analytics, Statistics, Math, Computer Science or STEM majors.

·       Experience in financial services or data analytics internships preferred but not required.
