Role Overview: As a data engineer in the Data Governance organization, your enthusiasm for data, technology, and teamwork will be instrumental in guiding the company to make informed business decisions using robust data resources. You will shape PGIM's future by implementing data governance and quality. Your skills will be vital for conducting advanced analyses, crafting engaging narratives, driving business and customer outcomes, and implementing innovative technology solutions.
This role is based in our office in Newark, NJ. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. This position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis at least 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the data engineer for Data Governance & Master Data Management (MDM) technical products and implementations.
- Build and design technical capabilities to enable end-to-end data governance, data quality, and MDM strategies according to the requirements.
- Implement data governance, data quality, and MDM processes and workflows supported by technology and innovation.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business groups to integrate data governance and MDM workflow automations in cloud-based data, AI, and ML platforms.
- Part of operational support processes and provide high-quality service management for data governance and MDM capabilities.
- Involve in testing multiple toolset for their functionality and effectiveness
- Evaluate scalable tech-based data quality rules and scorecards to facilitate ongoing automation.
- Involve in the implementation of data governance and quality monitoring tools.
- Work with business partners and data governance leads, and technical leads on the toolset.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements surrounding data governance
- Excellent communication, with an ability to be part of advocacy group of data governance
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience in supporting solutions in data management (data/metadata management, data quality, data lineage, data marketplace, data privacy, MDM).
- Hands on Experience with Meta data management, intelligence data governance, data quality, data privacy tools (e.g.,MS Purview, Informatica, Ataccama, Collibra). Ability to learn new toolset quickly.
- Experience with public clouds (Azure preferred).
- Strong documentation, and data analysis skills.
- Experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, Pyspark, React JS, notebook) and SQL
- Exposure to agile development and testing processes.
- Proven data governance, data quality engineering experience.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $110,000 to $135,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
