The Wealth Management Data Solutions (WMDS) organization provides direct technology support for core engineering products, operational data products and data analytics. About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer with a foundation in distributed systems and big data technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines to support data integration and transformation. This role involves working with large-scale distributed systems to efficiently process and manage data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, and delivering effective solutions. The candidate should be proficient in automating workflows using shell scripting and job scheduling tools such as Autosys, and experienced in optimizing Spark and Hive jobs for performance and scalability. In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverables

  • Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting

  • Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

  • Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of experience in ETL development with data pipeline design and implementation skills

  • 2+ years of experience working with Hadoop and Hive

  • 2+ years of experience in shell scripting for automation and system tasks

  • 2+ years of experience with Autosys or similar job scheduling tools

Desired Qualifications:

  • GCP Certification

  • 2+ years of Python programming experience, preferably in data engineering or automation contexts

  • 2+ years of experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing

  • 2+ years of experience implementing Kafka based solutions

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
