The Managing Director, Credit Analytics will be responsible for the Credit Data and Strategy of the Credit Risk organization. They key focus of the role is to lead, design and develop Credit Risk’s data infrastructure, data quality and reporting. Day to day work includes developing framework and architecture of Credit data and reports to allow for high-quality, streamlined, and enhanced reporting capabilities. Work closely with IT and senior leadership to assess, build, and manage Credit’s data strategy and infrastructure to support Credit and organization-wide data initiatives. Lead a group of analyst and developers and oversee complex technical projects ensuring the successful delivery of high quality data and reporting solutions for Credit. This individual will be responsible for leading data strategy, infrastructure, management, and governance across Credit functions, aligning with the organization’s data and governance frameworks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and policies
Design and lead Credit data strategic initiatives to enhance our data ecosystem including data management, transformations, and governance to advance data capabilities and streamline Credit reporting.
Lead and manage development and maintenance of Credit data repositories, applying concepts in data modeling and writing complex SQL queries for data consumption.
Work closely with Credit senior leadership and company-wide stakeholders to drive high-impact data and reporting initiatives, leveraging data management and analytics expertise, to build innovative and high-quality data solutions.
Understand and use complex SQL and advanced Qlik Sense (QlikScript) and Power BI (DAX & M) scripting to extract, transform, and simplify large data sets and create meaningful insights for business strategic decision making.
Advance department efficiency and effectiveness through leading process automation projects and data solutions.
Improve and drive data quality and governance strategies by ensuring best practices for data solutions used across all Credit functions and partnering departments.
Become subject matter expert of enterprise data sources and platforms used by the Credit organization and partner departments, and enable Credit data users and analysts to effectively utilize these data sources for analytics and Drive continuous improvement of Credit data environment and reporting tools and systems to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
Design, develop, and implement Credit Risk reporting platforms, with set guidelines and industry best practices, leveraging Qlik and Power BI based dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Lead Credit Risk analytics and data strategic and tactical planning sessions and contribute to the growth of the Credit Risk Management data strategy, quality, control and reporting groups.
Enhance legacy reporting and tools with industry new technologies and automation tools to evolve the current analytics and reporting infrastructure and processes.
Experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Governance/Management, and/or Data Analytics. Financial Services or Credit Risk Analytics background is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience managing a data analytics highly technical team.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field; Masters preferred.
• Advanced hands-on experience with SQL and manipulating large data sets, preferably using at least one of the following DBMSs: Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, certifications a plus.
• Experience in database management, data warehousing and solid understanding of data modeling, database structures, and data governance practices.
• Experience using Python, VBA, SAS or other programming languages to automate data pipeline creation, retrieval, manipulation, and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of ETL/ELT (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts and experience with analytics tools such as Alteryx, Qlik Sense, Tableau (Prep), or scripting using other programming languages.
• Advanced hands-on experience designing, building and maintaining reports and data visualizations, and proficiency with at least one of the following data analytics and visualization platforms: Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, certifications a plus.
• Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience multitasking and managing multiple projects and short timelines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfort interacting with senior leaders.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 USD to $195,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
