A single percent of improvement drives profound change to every corner of the world --- from the cost of our goods, to the livelihoods of local communities, to even the impact on our environment. To reshape the industry, at TruckSmarter, our focus is first on truck drivers. Trucks move 71% of freight in America (~$800bn annually) & the trucking industry represents nearly 6% of the full-time jobs in the country. If you look around you, every item has sat on a truck at one point on its journey to you. However, despite the industry being one of the greatest levers of innovation throughout history, it is still deeply fragmented & structurally misaligned. Our mission is to fix that --- and we need your help.

The Role

TruckSmarter is looking for a Senior Level Designer with experience designing digital activations across multiple channels. You'll work on a variety of project types, collaborating with our partners on our marketing team as well as across the broader organization.

Our team is a lean XFN team that includes both product, brand, operations. We foster an entrepreneurial yet supportive environment that values collaboration, craft, and execution, and is committed to improving the lives of our customers.

Working model: TruckSmarter offers an in-office collaborative culture. This role is based out of our downtown San Francisco office, and requires in-office presence three days per week minimum (typically Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).

Responsibilities

  • Bring the TruckSmarter brand to life through digital activations (static, motion) for a wide variety of channels across a broad range of media, including web, email, mobile, social, and paid ads.

  • Own projects from concept to final execution and iterate on designs to optimize performance.

  • Create high-quality work that delivers on our brand and business strategy.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Content, Marketing and Business Ops) and external partners to establish a differentiated and high quality digital brand presence.

  • Work with the design team to update and maintain creative design system.

  • Harness tools like MidJourney, ChatGPT, where needed to augment assets.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of digital creative experience, with at least 2 years in senior creative roles.

  • A portfolio of work showcasing a strong multidisciplinary approach to brand design development, visual solutions, and storytelling, including online presence, and digital advertising (digital paid ads/social media/email/web).

  • Experience in both brand and performance-focused creative, with a proven track record of developing complementary assets that meet the needs of each channel.

  • Hands-on experience in the creative process from conceptualization to execution.

  • Willingness to work in a startup environment, drive change, and build from scratch.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in D2C and B2B.

  • Experience with Framer, HTML/CSS.

  • Experience with After Effects, LottieFiles, or other motion based software.

  • Experience with AI content creation tools like Claude, Chat GPT, or Midjourney

  • Experience with transportation or logistics categories is a plus.
