At Enovos, we're on a mission to innovate and navigate the fast-moving energy sector, placing data and analysis at the forefront of understanding and anticipating customer behaviours and needs. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in moulding our data infrastructure and analytics, directly influencing our customer service improvements and business innovations. You will integrate, transform and serve data across the group while helping us lay the foundations for more automation and self service in the near future.

Your tasks

  • Build & maintain data pipelines – Develop scalable batch ETL/ELT workflows by leveraging Airflow, dbt and Python
  • Model & expose data – Design schemas in our object storage data lake (e.g., S3) and cloud data warehouse (e.g., Redshift) so BI tools, dashboards and data science notebooks run fast and reliably
  • Publish source aligned datasets – Integrate and document data from SAP, Salesforce and other enterprise systems, creating reliable raw plus data products that analysts can query directly
  • Enable business teams – Provide guidance, curated self service templates and documentation, plus occasional hands on support so domain experts can develop and maintain their own data solutions with confidence
  • Contribute to the future platform – Take part in proof of concepts for reusable templates, Infrastructure as Code and open table formats (Iceberg/Delta) that will underpin our upcoming self service data platform

Your profile

  • University degree (Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of hands on data or software engineering experience, taking data pipelines and services from design through to reliable production operation
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Hands on with cloud analytics services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), Airflow, Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and at least one CI/CD or IaC tool (GitLab CI, Terraform, CDK) is a plus
  • Service oriented mindset, clear communication, fluency in English
