The Customer Master Data Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting Midmark’s overall data quality initiatives by ensuring the accuracy and quality of customer master data. This role involves managing customer accounts, maintaining data accuracy through integrity checks and cleansing, and ensuring proper documentation. The specialist will collaborate frequently with various stakeholders, including Customer Experience, Technical Support, Sales Operations, and other functional groups to resolve data issues and enhance data quality and processes.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assists Data Steward in keeping customer master data up to date
- Creates and modifies customer master data to data standards
- Researches, appends, and updates customer records and removes duplicates
- Conducts master data audits on existing and newly set up customers
- Collaborates with Product Owner and business areas to improve master data processes and requirements
- Assists Data Steward in writing documentation as needed for customer master training, policies, standards, controls, and procedures and trains accordingly
- Leverages required computer systems to maintain quality customer data
- Ensures customer’s product ownership records are maintained
SECONDARY DUTIES:
- Participates in projects related to and reliant on customer master data
- Analyzes and reports key performance indicator results for customer data, enhancement queue, benchmark results and identifies improvement opportunities
- Establishes rapport with stakeholders of customer data as well as Midmark customers
- Other responsibilities as determined by supervisor
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree in business related field and 1+ years’ experience in customer service or business environment preferred.
COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and demonstrate great attention to detail
- Experience with integrated ERP System with customer master knowledge preferred
- Ability to apply policies and standards consistently
- Comfort in reinforcing policy and best practices
