ABOUT YOUWe’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and building scalable systems that serve millions of users. You’re someone who enjoys working across languages and platforms, with solid backend experience in Go, PHP, or Node.js, and a deep understanding of microservices architecture.
You’re experienced with containerized environments and orchestration platforms, CI/CD practices, and automated testing, ensuring systems are scalable, maintainable, and production-ready. You know how to architect systems that are resilient, maintainable, and ready to scale. You're also well-versed in AI technologies and have experience integrating AI tools and frameworks. You’re data-driven, collaborative, and committed to building high-impact solutions that support Xsolla’s mission to power the global gaming economy.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services using Go, PHP, or Node.js.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices deployed in containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Lead technical design discussions and architecture reviews, focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Integrate AI-powered tools and solutions into backend workflows to improve product intelligence and automation.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and write robust unit/integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Optimize database operations (MySQL, NoSQL) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka) for high-throughput applications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Solid experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Go, PHP, or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized environments.
• Solid grasp of CI/CD principles, including automated testing and deployment pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of MySQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools or frameworks, such as OpenAI APIs, or custom ML models, and the ability to integrate them into backend systems.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Good To Have
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Background in the gaming or payments industry.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Exposure to real-time systems, personalization engines, or chat-driven interfaces.
