Full Stack Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your software engineering expertise in a high-impact role? Booz Allen has an opportunity to showcase your talents by supporting the United States Air Force. We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join the team. You’ll work in a software engineering role, working with teams to leverage and expand your client’s platform.

You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to translate customer needs, and assist others in migration and solutioning of mission critical capabilities. You’ll be responsible for working with current and new software development teams, understanding their architecture and development environment tooling to develop onboarding paths to your client’s platform.

You should have expertise in multiple Cloud Providers, including AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle, databases such as SQL and NoSQL, networking, full stack software applications, architectures, and Common Design Patterns such as event-driven architectures and microservices. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently while leading others, and be able to work across development teams. You should be able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You Have: 

  • 4+ years of experience with software development OOB or functional concepts such as Python, Golang, or Rust

  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and deployment with Kubernetes

  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation, including Github Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux

  • 2+ years of experience with multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Google, Azure, or Oracle

  • 2+ years of experience building microservice full stack applications such as frontend, backend, or data storage solution

  • Experience with software migration or modernization

  • Experience troubleshooting application code and configurations

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across engineering teams

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

  • Experience in technical documentation for engineers to consume your software

  • Experience with IaC such as Terraform or Ansible

  • Experience with Cloud Native services such as virtual servers, database services, and networking infrastructure

  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems

  • Experience with hardened container images such as Iron Bank, DoD STIGs, or CIS Benchmarks

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering

  • AWS Certified Cloud Partitioner - Foundational Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
