• Terraform과 같은 도구를 활용하여 인프라를 코드로 관리하고 배포(IaC) 이해도가 높은 분
• Kubernetes (K8s) 또는 AWS EKS와 같은 컨테이너 오케스트레이션 플랫폼에서 서비스를 운영 및 관리 경험이 많은 분
• Prometheus, Grafana 등을 활용하여 대규모 시스템 모니터링 및 트러블슈팅에 친숙한 분
• Search 엔진, Redis/Valkey, MongoDB 등 NoSQL 데이터베이스 사용 경험이 있는 분
• Python 또는 Go 언어를 활용한 개발 및 자동화 스크립트 작성에 능숙한 분
• 다양한 부서와 능동적으로 소통하고 협업할 수 있는 능숙한 커뮤니케이션 스킬을 갖춘 분

• ProxySQL, Vitess 와 같은 데이터베이스 프록시 사용 경험
• Django와 같은 ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) 프레임워크에 대한 이해 및 사용 경험

Team Introduction

The Sendbird Data Infrastructure Team is dedicated to operating the real-time databases for Sendbird's product suite. We continuously optimize and advance our data layers to stably handle massive traffic volumes, comparable to the largest in Korea, across major global cloud infrastructures. In a rapidly evolving service environment, our team consistently solves diverse customer requirements while continually enhancing its capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Operate mission-critical, large-scale databases distributed globally in a cloud environment.
• Provide database-centric solutions to ensure performance and availability that meet diverse customer needs.
• Identify and execute challenging improvement tasks related to database flexible scalability, cost efficiency, and operational automation.
• Design optimal data management systems and review models in response to business expansion and the discovery of new services.

Who We're Looking For

• A strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), experienced in managing and deploying infrastructure using tools like Terraform.
• Extensive experience operating and managing services on container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (K8s) or AWS EKS.
• Familiar with monitoring large-scale systems and troubleshooting using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience using NoSQL databases such as Search Engines, Redis/Valkey, or MongoDB.
• Proficient in developing and writing automation scripts using Python or Go languages.
• Strong communication skills who can actively communicate and collaborate with various departments.

Extra helpful if you have

• Familiarity with technical documentation and test environments, along with an understanding of business requirements and application logic.
• Experience using database proxies like ProxySQL or Vitess.
• Understanding and experience with ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) frameworks like Django.
• A strong interest in in-depth database administration.
