How You’ll Help Us Connect the World
As a Data Analytics Intern, you will work alongside experienced data professions to contribute to the optimization of our data infrastructure and processes. This position is part of our Networking, Intelligent Cellular & Security group, and the position will be remote.
You Will Make an Impact By
- Collaborating with the data team to assess current data structures and identify areas for improvement
- Researching and recommending standard processes for aligning multiple data sources across the business
- Analyzing data storage and retrieval processes to ensure efficiency and scalability
- Developing strategies for organizing and structuring data to enhance accessibility and usability
- Working closely with team members to understand data requirements and tailor data structures accordingly
- Translating business user goals and requirements into concrete data structures, models, and visualizations
- Implementing standard methodologies for data modeling, ensuring consistency and integrity across databases
- Participating in data architecture discussions and provide insights into optimizing data pipelines
- Assisting in the design and implementation of data governance policies and standards
- Conducting research on emerging data technologies and recommend tools and methodologies to enhance data structuring capabilities
Required Qualifications for Consideration
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited university
- Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong understanding of database concepts and data modeling principles.
- Knowledge of PowerBI and desire to become proficient with tool.
- Experience with data analysis and knowledge of Python, R, etc.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies
- Experience with data structuring tools and techniques, including normalization, denormalization, and indexing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data architecture challenges.
- Understanding of data cataloging concepts and tools such as OpenMetaData
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization

- Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

- Cab handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
- Possess strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
- Have strong initiative; a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Have experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
