Data Governance Specialist

• Support the rollout of Data Governance Frameworks across subsidiaries: assist in implementation tracking, gap identification, and issue escalation.
• Update and maintain governance documentation, including policies, standards, and process models to ensure relevance and accessibility.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement: organize meetings, support alignment efforts, and ensure follow-ups on governance activities.
• Assist with tool enablement: participate in testing Data Quality/Governance tools, document processes, and provide user support.
• Develop training programs for data stewards: prepare materials, coordinate logistics for sessions, and collect feedback for improvements.
• Monitor compliance and performance: track policy adherence, manage dashboards, and analyze governance KPIs to provide actionable insights.
• Liaise with business and technical teams to resolve governance-related issues and enhance data practices across domains.
• Contribute to governance maturity assessments, support reporting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Management, Business, IT).
• 3–4 years of work experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or related domains.
• Proficiency in English and Azerbaijani; knowledge of Russian is a plus.
• Proven experience in data governance, data quality management, or business data stewardship.
• Hands-on experience with data governance platforms, Excel, and basic data analytics tools.
• Solid understanding of business process design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience developing policies, procedures, and best practices related to data management.
• Exposure to IT business analysis and/or project management (certifications are a plus).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders.
