About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our technology team. This critical role involves designing and delivering robust, scalable, and secure enterprise data architectures that underpin core operations and drive data-driven decision-making within the hospitality and casino gaming industry. You will collaborate extensively with business and IT stakeholders to align data strategy with guest experience, operational efficiency, and stringent regulatory compliance related to data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop enterprise-grade data solutions and platforms, defining data models, schemas, and pipelines to support large-scale analytical and operational needs.
  • Design and implement scalable data integration patterns for diverse data sources, including loyalty platforms, PMS, POS, kiosks, and gaming applications, utilizing various integration technologies.
  • Define and enforce data governance standards, data quality frameworks, and data security policies to ensure compliance with gaming and hospitality regulations, including critical data privacy and integrity requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, analytics teams, and infrastructure to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance, data model reviews, and hands-on data design when needed, translating business requirements into technical data specifications.
  • Lead key initiatives refining the organizational data architecture roadmap, assessing the health and performance of existing data assets, including those from various systems and data providers.
  • Optimize data system performance, data reliability, and query responsiveness in high-traffic, data-intensive environments.
  • Implement DataOps and MLOps best practices using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate data pipeline deployment and monitoring.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and offshore teams to fill gaps in data project progress across various stages, ensuring data initiatives meet strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and database design.
  • Proven experience building and managing enterprise data solutions within hospitality, gaming, or similarly regulated domains, with a strong emphasis on data compliance.
  • Deep knowledge of data architectural patterns (e.g., data warehousing, data lakes, data meshes, master data management) and cloud-native data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Expert-level database skills (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB or MongoDB) including schema design, query optimization, and data migration strategies.
  • Familiarity with data caching, logging, and monitoring tools for data pipelines and platforms (e.g., Azure Monitor, App Insights, New Relic).
  • Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, data privacy regulations, and secure data handling practices.
  • Experience with data integration tools and methodologies (e.g., MuleSoft for APIs, Azure Functions for ETL, Azure Service Bus for streaming data).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Las Vegas and collaborate with both local and remote teams.

Customer Communication

  • Effectively listen to customer needs, concerns, and feedback. Understand and respond to customer emotions and perspectives.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Build strong relationships with customers based on trust and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently. Keep the customer informed about project progress and potential issues.

Stakeholder Management

  • Identify key stakeholders and their interests to develop effective communication plans to keep stakeholders informed.
