Data and Solution Manager

The Scaled Solutions and Insights Data Analyst mission is to empower the Operations Service Center stakeholders with a range of data products and technical solutions to help them gather deeper insights and intelligence to amplify business outcomes in alignment to core priorities and strategic planning. 

We are looking for a Data and Solution Manager who is willing to work in a dynamic environment. You will need to be adept at managing business change, evolving requirements, adjustments in a strategic direction, and emerging technologies. You will need to be agile and flexible, yet proficient and disciplined. Responsibilities

• Understanding the Business: You will apply deep knowledge of business operations and external market trends to proactively identify and address challenges. This includes scoping business problems, articulating their impact, and developing solutions that align with broader Microsoft strategies. You’ll engage stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and mentor others to expand their business insight. 

• Expertise in Data: As a data authority, you’ll identify and evaluate internal and external data sources, address data quality issues, and collaborate with data engineers to build robust pipelines. You’ll ensure data solutions meet governance, security and role-based access standards, and guide others in presenting data effectively to influence decisions. 

• Data Analysis: You’ll lead complex analyses that support strategic roadmaps, applying a mix of analytical tools and techniques while ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and quality in data sourcing, onboarding and integration. Your work will resolve business questions with actionable insights, and you’ll provide feedback to improve analytical tools and methods, ensuring outputs are aligned with business needs. The ability to create and release citizen developed solutions and automations is critical to the success of this role.  

• Presentation of Results: You’ll develop and guide the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that clearly communicate insights to senior stakeholders. Your work will drive business outcomes by ensuring results are timely, accurate, and tailored to the audience. 

• Evaluation: You’ll design and execute evaluations of business, product, and operational decisions, incorporating risk assessments and learnings from past efforts. Your recommendations will connect insights across initiatives to support strategic goals. 

• Orchestration and Collaboration: You’ll build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the use of high-quality data sources and analytical tools. You’ll share best practices and collaborate across teams to enhance insights and reporting. 

• Improvement, Efficiency, and Innovation: You’ll lead efforts to standardize and scale analytics solutions, including automation and AI-driven efficiencies. You’ll partner with Engineering and Data Science teams to implement innovative methods that improve data collection and analysis.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis  

• OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis  

• OR equivalent experience.  

• Candidate must be available to work 50% of their time in Pacific Standard time 

• Candidate must work onsite in the Bangalore office 50% of the time. 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 12+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis  

• OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 8+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis  

• OR equivalent experience.
